Barefoot Nature Walk

Barefoot Nature Walk

Event date: October 14, 2026
event

Event information

Barefoot walk hosted by a community member.

Description

It’s that time of year when we have cooler temps and the ground is still warm enough for Barefoot Walks! Lets enjoy the outdoors and connect with nature by taking off our shoes!

Walking barefoot requires a different level of awareness. There are stones, roots, pokey things, rough things, and walnuts/acorns on the ground. We’ll experience a slower pace as we bring our awareness to the path and where we are placing our feet so as to have a positive experience walking barefoot.

Join Daisy Sutkay as she leads a barefoot nature walk in the Bluffton University Nature Preserve. Feel the ground as you walk to better connect with the natural world. All are welcome. Tea and cookies will be provided after the walk.

Location

Meet at the parking lot by Moyer Nature Center in the Bluffton Nature Preserve.
