Enjoy a walk to see blooming trees and ephemeral wildflowers.

Description

During the nature walk, Dr. Buchanan will guide a group of participants along the trails surrounding the Moyer Nature Center. Participants will look for flowering trees and shrubs like maples, elms, aspens, buckeyes, and spicebush as well as early spring ephemeral wildflowers like Virginia spring beauty, harbinger-of-spring, bloodroot, Dutchman’s breeches, cardamine, and water leaf. This event would be open to all, including students, faculty, staff, and all other community members. Students in attendance would be eligible to receive Arts and Lecture credit for attending, up to a maximum of one time.

Location

Meet at the Moyer Nature Center in the Bluffton University Nature Preserve.
